PostHeaderIcon Can I make a Tennis court out of Cement?

I want to have a tennis court in my backyard but a tennis court made out of normal materials costs between $25,000 and $100,000 and I don’t have the money.

I only want to spend no more than $5000 and just get a cement truck and make my own tennis court.

yea you can, it is going to feel different then a normal hard court and the speed will be different. It will also probably require more maintenance, becuase it will probably crack faster. but yea i say go for it.

I think in the old days that is what most tennis courts were made of, but I could be wrong.
Sounds like a good idea to me.

You could do it. You should put joints in the concrete at appropriate places to reduce cracking. When finished you could just paint on lines, but you will have a better court if you paint the whole court with tennis court paint. This will also give you a better surface for play.
